Connect a Shopify Online Store

A Shopify store can be connected using the Stoqflow Shopify app.

!> Note: Existing stores that were linked via a private or custom app will continue to work.

Set up a Shopify connection

  • Open Stoqflow in a new tab or window
  • Navigate to 'Stores' and add a new store
  • Give your store a name, set the type to 'Online Store', select 'Shopify' as the platform and click on 'Save'
  • Click on the button 'Connect with Shopify'
  • Copy the configuration code by clicking on the clipboard icon
  • Click on the link 'Stoqflow Shopify app' to open the app in a new tab or window

  • Install the Stoqflow app in your Shopify store
  • Paste the earlier copied configuration code into the form of the app and click on 'Send'

  • Go back to Stoqflow and synchronize your products and orders (in this order)

Using multiple Shopify locations

If your Shopify store uses multiple locations, make sure to use "Stoqflow" as the name of the location where the inventory should remain synchronized with Stoqflow. Only orders that are partially assigned to this location will be imported into Stoqflow.

Stoqflow only imports products for which the Stoqflow Shopify location is enabled as a location where the product can be in stock. This can be done via the 'Edit Locations' button on the product editing page in Shopify, but can also be done in bulk via the product inventory overview page.

Adding shipping options

When an order with a specified shipping option is received in the application, it will search for a carrier with a similar name that offers a shipping method activated for the store under which the order was placed. If such a carrier is found, it will be used as the preferred carrier for that sales order. Shipping options can be added to Shopify by following these steps:

  • Open your Shopify store
  • Click on the gear icon 'Settings' bottom left
  • Click on 'Shipping and delivery'
  • Open the 'General shipping rates'
  • Create one or more 'shipping zones'
  • Use the names of the carriers you want to use as 'shipping rates' in the 'shipping zones'

Processing orders with delayed payments

If an order needs to be processed before payment is complete, the "payment due later" feature in Shopify must be used.
